Harvard GSD Paper or Plastic

Branding Strategy: Coppertone

Rather than invent new products, this project asked the team to operate as brand strategists — innovating on an existing, outdated supermarket brand, Coppertone, reconsidered from the top down: brand identity, consumer target, logo, tagline, packaging.

The team also studied Coppertone's shelf competitors, learning to present observations through visual arguments rather than explicitly verbal ones.
